One cost me $20. The other cost $1050. (and no I do not have the period in the wrong place)
This is why I do what I do. I LOVE the Bramble Co. furniture. Especially the Cottage Collection. I first saw these wonderful pieces of furniture on our trip to The Highlands, North Carolina in a little shop called Dutchman's. Love. At. First. Sight.
But, until pigs fly, I won't be paying $1000 for a piece of furniture. There are just too many classics out there that just need a little attention and love.
So of course mine is the second one with the wood floor that needs to be vacuumed. But seriously, there isn't that big of a difference and that's why I freaked out when I saw this beauty in a lady's garage when we were there to get another Pajak Bar that I found. Please sell it to me? Please? And not for a ton of money? Yup. Someone pinch me.
The paint color is called Drizzle from Sherwin Williams. As some of you know, my sister just moved and this is the color of her living room one wall in her living room. Needless to say, she had extra paint. OK. Maybe an extra 3 gallons. So I "inherited" one.
I painted straight on the chest then scraped and distressed. I finished it off with my favorite Minwax Finishing Paste. We are using it for our entertainment center. Michael took the two top drawer fronts off and made them hinge to open for our receiver and DVR.
So there you have it. One little glimpse into my new living room. More pictures and reveals to come soon. (just as soon as I put up the curtains!)
Have a great week!
Kerrie
